Measure here: the widest part of the ribcage, just behind the front legs, tape flat against the coat. This is a small-dog vest — XL stops at about 8 kg, so a Labrador or a full-size French Bulldog will not fit it. Between two sizes, size up: a vest that is too snug blocks the shoulders.
Getting him used to it
- Let him sniff it on the ground. Thirty seconds, without putting it on.
- Two seconds indoors. Place, reward, remove. Five times.
- Extend it. Ten seconds, then a minute, always with a treat after.
- Go outside. By now it's the thing that happens before the walk.
Three days, ten minutes a day. Put it on and walk away instead, and he'll take it off — which is how most dog clothes end up in a drawer.

The chest D-ring lets you clip a lead directly to the jacket for a short, calm walk. For dogs that pull or for longer walks, use a proper harness.

Is a lead included?
No. The jacket has the D-ring; the lead shown in the photographs is not part of the order.
Can I clip the lead to the jacket?
For a short, calm walk, yes. For a dog that pulls or for longer walks, use a harness: clothing is not a restraint.
How do you wash it?
Hand wash in cold water and air dry away from direct heat.
Is it suitable for snow?
It is designed for cold, dry walks and mild winter weather. For deep snow or long exposure, limit the time outside.
What if I choose the wrong size?
